The newspaper often includes stories about our laws and how they impact our lives. By reading about our laws, you learn to better understand actions and consequences.
Find a story in the newspaper that is about a law being broken. Begin by making a list of search terms you might use with the E-edition search tool in order to find a story about the law.
- Identify the law and describe how it was broken.
- Write a paragraph telling what the consequence is for breaking this law. Do you think it's a fair consequence?
- Choose a school rule and analyze it the same way. Describe the rule and the consequences for breaking it and then tell if you think that is fair.
