Students should understand that the laws of the country give them many rights. Some of the rights granted to citizens include freedom of the press, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and freedom of assembly. Students should understand that along with those rights comes responsibility.
Ask students to divide into groups.
- Each group should find a story involving one of the freedoms.
- Each group should write a paragraph telling how the story would be different if that freedom didn't exist.
